PowerProtect Data Manager is the next-generation data protection product completely based on REST and microservices. PowerProtect Data Manager supports workloads starting from VMs to FileSystems (Windows, Linux), Oracle and SQL, SAP HANA Databases protection and centralized restore, VMAX 3 and PowerMax devices as part of Storage Direct Management and Kubernetes cluster namespace protection. PowerProtect also has Search and Indexing capability added for VMware workloads. Active Directory Granular Level Restore, The UI being its highlight with customer-grade simplicity. At the backend, the standalone software needs a Data Domain (virtual or physical) to store the backup copies.
